Reunions are a great way to reconnect with your fellow Waterfordians. They also provide an opportunity for you to revisit your old campus and see what has changed (or stayed the same) since you’ve been away.

STEPS TO ORGANISING YOUR REUNION
STEP 1
SUGGESTED TIMELINE: 12 Months to your reunion
Where Are Your Classmates?
- Create a group (Whatsapp/Facebook) to get your classmates connected
- Email the WK Advancement office for a list of your classmates. (We can also send bulk mail to those on our database to get the word out)
Create a Reunion Committee
- Get classmates together to organise the reunion (If you have class representatives, they can be helpful in doing this)
- Schedule your first meeting. (If you would like to have your first meeting at WK, email us to set up a time and location)
- Advertise your first Meeting
- Decide on the date of your class reunion
STEP 2
SUGGESTED TIMELINE: 11-10 Months to your reunion
Start Advertising your Reunion
- Create Reunion event. (The Advancement Office is willing to assist you with this)
- Email blurb for bulk email and website.
- Email blurb for alumni newsletter.
- If you are creating a page for your reunion, email the Advancement office so that we may share your page details.
- Start working on costs (per person) for Reunion (The Advancement Office is willing to assist you with this)
- Encourage classmates to start VISA application process (The Advancement Office is willing to assist you with this e.g. provide invitation letters)
STEP 3
SUGGESTED TIMELINE: 8-6 Months to your reunion
Send out Reunion Details
- Send a mailing to all class members with details of your reunion. (The Advancement Office is willing to assist you with this)
- Add Reunion details to the WK alumni Newsletter.
STEP 4
SUGGESTED TIMELINE: 6-4 Month to your reunion
Finalise Reunion logistics
- Make arrangements for food, deco, RSVPs, etc. (The Advancement Office is willing to assist you with this)
- Think about a class gift.
STEP 5
SUGGESTED TIMELINE: 4-2 Months to your reunion
Final communications between you and the Advancement Office
- If there is someone (Committee, teacher, staff) your class would like to recognise, let the Advancement Office know
- Final alumni newsletter announcement.
- Finalise accommodation arrangements.
STEP 6
SUGGESTED TIMELINE: 1 Month to your reunion
Final polish ups (The Advancement Office is willing to assist you with this)
- Ensure Accommodation is finalised.
- Ensure transport is finalised.
- Ensure itinerary and agenda are finalised
STEP 7
SUGGESTED TIMELINE: 3 Weeks to your reunion
Final polish ups (The Advancement Office is willing to assist you with this)
- Ensure Accommodation is finalised.
- Ensure transport is finalised.
- Ensure itinerary and agenda is finalised
- Ensure Advancement Office is clearly aware of areas in which you will need assistance on the day/weekend/week of your reunion
STEP 8
PROPOSED TIMELINE: 2 Weeks to your reunion
