continuing the conversation on development and sustainability

The Speaker Series will be taking a break but, before we do, join us for a speaker series in commemoration of Earth Day!

In 2018, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy launched the Eswatini Energy Masterplan 2020-2035, which included plans for a 300MW coal power plant in Lubhuku, Mpaka. Coal will be sourced from the nearby region. The 300MW power plant project is proposed to be implemented in two phases, consisting of two 100MW generators in phase I and one 100MW in phase II. A feasibility study was released in 2020.

This speaker series continues the conversation as we work to find the balance between development and sustainability.

How do we restore our earth while ensuring development happens in Eswatini. Join the Kamhlaba community in discussing this.
